AT&T Set to Release Multiple WP7 Devices, T-Mobile anchors launch event

As of two weeks ago, AT&T was to be the launch partner for Windows Phone. AT&T had been expected to unveil phones from HTC, Samsung and LG, according The Wall Street Journal.

Windows Phone Thoughts: AT&T Set to Release Multiple WP7 Devices.
Today we hear that the invitations for the October 11 launch event have gone out, without mention of AT&T:

“T-Mobile reps will be present for device showing and their service offering discussion,” according to the invite.

Can’t wait for the spin.

Maybe AT&T re-upped with Apple for another 5 years!!! And Apple being Apple, it banned AT&T from being the launch partner for any competitor. ;)

Sounds like both AT&T and T-Mobile will be there.

I can't wait to read Joe Wilcox's gushing praise of WM7. I'm sure his headline will be something like "The iPhone killer finally arrives" or "This is going to change everything…back to how it was before".

Ughh. I just vomited a little bit in my mouth.

No, it's be Paul Thurrott's SuperSite that'll (re)start the iPhone deathwatch (which, unbeknownst to him was the WinMo deathwatch). Microsoft has a double-edged strategy – bombard the airwaves with marketing and sue the Android licensees. If you can't buy 'em, sue 'em.
